Maison Twenty Six
Maison Twenty Six, Verandah’s High Summer’22 collection, is inspired by a beautiful 120 year old private villa situated in the heart of the French quarter, in the seaside town of Pondicherry.
A chance trip to view the villa in late 2019 when it was under restoration had Anjali fall in love with the exceptional architecture, rustic luxury, romance, secret gardens and classic French colonial design that she was set on designing a collection in homage to it and shot the campaign on site two years later. Her friend, aesthete Kiran Rao restored the residence in all its glory to win the prestigious Vielles Maisons Francaises award for preservation of French architectural heritage, a rare honour for houses outside France. The collection is an eye into a different India and a love for all things Vintage.
